We are Ayensi, Christine and Martin, a happily married couple, an inspired singer-songwriter duo, proud parents of two daughters Mirjam and Dorothea both born on 28th of January, musicians and teachers in many different contexts and projects. We live in Austria at the beautiful lake Neusiedlersee, in Burgenland close to Vienna. Are you curious about our name? So, here’s the story: It’s an old, personal word we invented in 2011 when we were just noting down things that help us to lead a „good life.“ The first letters made up AYENSI. So it means: A for AWAKENING (waking up early in the morning, and waking up to live YOUR life), Y for YOGA (as one of the best way to synchronize body, mind and soul), E for EATING well (we are in love with vegan and plant-based food!), N for NATURE (as the place to reconnect us with Mother Earth), S for SPIRITUALITY (searching and finding answers in silence, meditation, prayer, music…) and I for INSPIRATION (which will come naturally if you practice AYENSI). Also, apparently „ayensi“ means „hint“ in Igbo (a Nigerian language). Very suitable!
